Huckleberry Finn was like an extension of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. One of my favorite authors, Mark Twain published this novel after The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. This novel is my second best by Mark Twain. I enjoyed this book, but there were some things I didn't like in this story. I didn't like the fact that the story was about a boy and a slave on the run. Having a boy and a slave on the run the whole time was a negative for me. The characters in this novel were good. The conlficts in this story could of been better. I dislike how Mark Twain came up with ideas for the conflicts in this novel. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was about a boy named Huckleberry Finn who was adopted by a lady who lives with her sister. Huckleberry Finn was adopted because his father was a big drunk with bad behavior. Tom Sawyer his best friend gave Huckleberry Finn some gold to stay on his feet. Everything went fine until his drunk father appeared back into his life. Huckleberry Finn father gain custody of him by kidnapping him. His father harasses and keeps him in a cabin. Huckleberry Finn was beaten everytime his father came home drunk. Huckleberry Finn plays dead with his father and escape from the cabin. Huckleberry Finn teams up with Miss Watson servant, Jim. Huckleberry and Jim goes through alot of trouble. Most of the story Huckleberry and Jim are on the run. Finally Huckleberry and Jim escape and be free. At the end of the story Jim and Huckleberry separate and Huckleberry make plans to travel West. Mark Twain did good writting this book but there were some parts of the book I didn't enjoy. I really didn't liek that the main character was on the run most of the story. Also I didn't like how the story was a extension from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. If the story was just about Huckleberry Finn and didn't include Tom Sawyer, maybe i would of like the story better. I had some doubts about this novel, butI still enjoyed this novel. I enjoyed this novel because it was adventurous and had excitement. Mark Twain didn't make the story dull because he added some humorous scenes in this novel. This story could of been more better if it had a different concept of the novel.
