the "awesome" things in this book that i like best, by far, are the ones where the author tells a personal story about why they're awesome to him. the story about his 3rd grade teacher and their e-mail exchange years later was so great! even if you don't also have "that one teacher" in your past, that story had to make you smile. and the one about his friend, "the feisty little nibbler," who ate the tips of all the pieces of pie - that cracked me up. i would prefer many more of those and many fewer generic descriptions where he's trying to describe why it might be awesome to the reader...because for some reason, those come across to me as if he's trying to convince me of the awesomeness of things that i don't necessarily think are awesome. like "flavor pockets" - all that really means is that you didn't mix your mac n cheese as well as you should have - that's not awesome, it's lazy. but, i digress. the book is a fun, quick read and you're guaranteed to love at least some of the "awesome" things in it.
